We believe God is calling us into a movement of love\, service\, and discipleship\, reaching our families\, our neighbors\, and those who are ready to know Christ. “The harvest truly is plentiful\, but the laborers are few.” \nJoy Shokai is a devoted follower of Christ with a passion for ministry\, encouragement\, and uplifting others in faith. Through her service in church leadership\, women’s ministry\, worship\, and mentorship\, she strives to reflect God’s love and create meaningful connections within the church and community.\n\nGrounded in faith and guided by grace\, Joy’s life journey has strengthened her commitment to service\, perseverance\, and spiritual growth. Join us for an engaging\, practical afternoon focused on whole-person wellness\, healthier families\, and Christ-centered approaches to living and outreach. \nDr. Akita Evans is a Board-Certified Family Medicine Physician\, Functional Medicine Certified Practitioner\, and Health Coach with nearly 20 years of experience caring for individuals and families across the lifespan. She earned her medical degree from Brown University and her Master of Public Health in Family and Community Health from the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health. \nAs Medical Director of Health-E Medical Center in metro Atlanta\, Dr. Evans is passionate about helping people build healthier lives through education\, lifestyle medicine\, and whole-person care. Her work focuses on metabolic health\, disease prevention\, and empowering people to take practical steps toward lasting wellness. \nDrawing from her faith and commitment to service\, Dr. Evans believes that caring for our health is an important part of stewarding the gifts God has entrusted to us and strengthening the communities we serve. \n\nChildren’s Program\nA dedicated children’s program will run during the afternoon wellness session so every member of the family can be present and blessed. \n\nThis Women’s Emphasis Sabbath is part of our continued journey toward the outreach efforts launching this October.
