Wield Your Weapon

Wield Your Weapon
Do you know the Word is a weapon in your hand? In Matthew 4, when Jesus came face to face with the kingdom of darkness, when He faced temptation after temptation in the wilderness, what did He do? He spoke out the Word.
“It is written.”
“It is written.”
“It is written.”
Let’s follow the model. Let’s take hold of the promise – especially in prayer. Let’s speak out the Word, and return it to the LORD as praise, it will not return void. And then, let’s watch as our GOD does the things only He can do.
Here’s a prayer and praise example to get you started meditating on the Word:
Psalm 23
The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want.
He makes me to lie down in green pastures; He leads me beside the still waters.
He restores my soul; He leads me in the paths of righteousness for His name’s sake.
Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil; for You are with me; Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me.
You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies; You anoint my head with oil; My cup runs over.
Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life; and I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever.
Returning as a Praise
- LORD, praise you for being my Shepherd. Praise You that I shall not want.
- Thank You for making me lie down in green pastures. Thank You for leading me beside still waters.
- Praise You, LORD, for restoring my soul. Praise You for leading me in the paths of righteousness for Your name’s sake.
- Thank You that even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil. Praise You that You are with me. Praise You that Your rod and Your staff comfort me.
- Thank You for preparing a table before me in the presence of my enemies! Praise You for anointing my head with oil. Praise You for causing my cup to overflow.
- Thank You, Father, that Your goodness and mercy follow me all the days of my life.
