Serving With Purpose
Serving With Purpose
We are in the month of August, and what an exciting time of year it is! This is the month of Back to School, and as a church family, we are praying for our young people as they transition back to their classes. May God continue to bless them mightily as they grow in wisdom and knowledge. I would also like to wish all our birthday and anniversary celebrants the very best and pray for God’s continued blessings in your lives and relationships.
This month, our theme is “Serving with Purpose,” and our goal is to remind ourselves continually of our duty to live out the life of Christ in our daily interactions with others. Think about ways you can build the Kingdom of God in your home, school, and workplaces. Consider how giving your time, talent, and treasure can impact the community for Christ. Those small interactions, kind deeds, and gentle smiles may go further than you think.
Recently, a young lady who visited us for the first time from a different state shared with me that she has been an SDA all her life, and this was by far the friendliest Adventist Church she has ever attended. She mentioned that whenever she is in town, she will come back and continue the fellowship with us. This is the kind of feedback we strive for, and as a church family, we should rejoice that this young lady felt loved and welcomed. Let us continue to spread the love of Christ to all whom we encounter as we build friendships for eternity.
